My disclaimer: It is your own responsibility whether you try this or
not as almost everyone is allergic to something. I myself will try it
if I ever get the chance! This is a recipe modified from a zuccini pie
recipe from my mother in law.
SANSEVIEIA PIE:
4 cups Sansevieria roots and/or young shoots
1 1/2 tsp cream of tartar
dash of salt
2 tbsp flour
1 tbsp lemon juice
dash of nutmeg
1 1/4 cup sugar
1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp butter
1- 9" pie shell
Peel if needed and slice Sans into thin pieces about 1/2 inch long and
boil in water for 10 minutes. Drain water and add other ingredients to
the Sans. and put into shell.
PIE TOPPING:
1 stick margarine or butter
1 cup sugar
1 cup flour
Mix together and cumble on top of pie.
Bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes. Let cool and enjoy.
Have a good one all,
Tom Schultz
