Hey Kirk and all,
I do teach wild edibles and will try anything once. I do tend to stay
away from bugs and worms though. It's psychological! Mycophagy is
always a favorite.
Actually, I didn't think eating the rhisomes of mason congo was too
risky since I know native peoples have eaten fischeri shoots and
consider them good. I also know a gentleman who has eaten the berries
of a Sans(how does he get around those seeds) and he says they are
slightly sweet and kind of mealy.
Does anybody have any information if any of the Sans. are toxic? If I
find one personally, I will let you all know.
Have a good one,
Tom
