Hey all,
This is just speculation so please bear with me. I have noticed from
watching some of the native flora of Minnesota that this might be true.
Proportionately between the leaves and rhizomes of a Sansevieria, I
would be willing to bet that the adult form and the dwarf form are the
same. I would think that if you take an adult form and keep it from
building up a store of rhzomatous material, it would start to make
thinner rhizomes and thus the smaller leaves. It would take a heck of a
lot more rhizome material if they were thinner to produce the store of
material needed to produce a full sized adult. This would eventually
happen though if you let it keep growing as one plant.
Humbly and have a good one,
Tom
