Re: [SANS] SANSEVIERIAS - 14 Jun 1999 to 15 Jun 1999 (#1999-70)

Hi all, I haven't spoken up on this list for a long time but I seem to
have run into a dead end. I have this Sans. that I got from David
Grigsby years ago when he was still with us. The only way I know this
plant is FKH434 (Frank K. Horwood). Now I've entered that into the field
collection database and it comes up empty.
The leaves are from the tropical types. Sort of lanceolate/spoon shaped
with a very narrow petiole. It is rhizomatoic, 3-6 leaves per rhizome.
The closest I seen in photo is on page 36 of Hermine's book, described
as spoon-leaf plant from Socotra, accredited to John Lavranos.
Not an especially spectacular looking plant, but, by far the most
intensely scented Sans. I have ever smelt! It easily perfumes my 3000 sq
ft greenhouse! It smells like night blooming jasmine, but so thick you
sense you can spoon it out of the air.
Anyone out there have any idea what this Sans. is? TIA...............
