Dr Pfennig, who I am afraid is no longer gardening on this planet...is the
collector. many of the Pf numbers are from plants I got directly from him.
he also gave plants to Karlheinz Uhlig, a cactus and succulent grower with
a commercial nursery in Germany.

The latletter I got fromhim is all about his suspicion that many
Sansevierias were a form of gracilis. I have a tiny hand-drawn map and dots
on it showng the loction from which gracilis was collected. I think Juan
Chahinian ahs much more current informatin on him than I do...

yes the plants don't seem to be ailing!  they will have a growth surge now
that daylight hours are getting longer.
