Hi, Group,
I just wanted to let you all know that, if you haven't already taken
advantage of Norma Lewis' (aka Crasulady@aol.com) offerings of
Sansevierias for sale, you're definitely missing a real deal.
I sent off an order, then promptly sent off another one when the first
plants arrived. Norma packaged everything well, shipped within days of
getting my orders, and labeled each division individually. All my Sans
arrived in excellent shape, except one S.raffillii rhizome which was
mushy and simply refused to toughen up, even in the dry air here. Norma
immediately replaced it, no questions asked, and at no charge.
Instead of sending off a third order, I took Norma at her word and
dropped in at her house this past weekend. WOW!!! She has dozens of
species/varieties, and literally hundreds of divisions--in her house and
lining both sides of the driveway--in pots and bags, wrapped in
newspapers, etc. Everything with the original labels--many of which are
sadly not very complete--and carefully kept separated. She has several
price lists (Grigsby's, Bob Smoley, etc.), and has tried to undercut all
of them when pricing these plants, really trying to give us bargains.
And, of course, the money goes straight to ISI.
I won't take up any more of your time, but I sincerely wanted to give
credit where it's due. I just wish I had half her energy!!
Carolyn
P.S. Norma's S.kirkii var. pulchra is blooming and is gorgeous! Didn't
think to stop and smell it, though.
