Hi all,
Sansevieria sp. 'Masai' and Sansevieria massae have nothing to do with each
other.
The answer is not tricky.
Stu Cramer identified the plant in question as 'Masai' because he saw the
picture of a similar plant in Morgenstern's book with that name. 'Masai' , by
Morgenstern, was named after the East African warriors.
The word "massai" does not exist.
Sanseveria massae, was named after the botanist Massa, whose nominative turns
into the genitive "massae" in Latin.
