Super Aug 26-27 Workshop!

Just a quick up-date to let you know what's happened that guarantees that
the "Designing Performance-Based Assessments" Workshop in Cincinnati will
be fabulous!

In addition to Jay McTighe's expertise, two outstanding environmental
educators have confirmed their participation this week.  JoAnn Roberts from
Calvert County MD (who has used performance tasks to link real world
experiences on schoolgrounds and at EE Centers/sites to the state's learner
outcomes and classroom curricula in a genuinely meaningful way) and Lynne
Ferguson (who has been working on assessment with PLT and designing
performance tasks to address WA's learner expectations) will add examples
of interdisciplinary EE performance tasks to the workshop and help
participants as they design tasks for their own programs.  

This unique learning opportunity is labeled Workshop D in the NAAEE
Conference Registration Packet and requires pre-registration.  The last
time I checked, spaces were filling up, so be sure to sign up soon and
encourage you colleagues to join us.
