an outdoor classroom by planting trees, creating a wildlife habitat, or
growing a butterfly garden? Greening School Grounds is a Canadian site that
can help you
plant and design your project, and persuade administrators and funders of its

4. Natural Learning Initiative

5. University of California, Cooperative Extension
Master Gardeners and 4-H Youth Advisors may provide assistance with planning
and growing school gardens. Programs exist in most California Counties. In
addition, some local Cooperative Extension offices have special programs for
schools that relate to gardening, agriculture, and/or nutrition. Contact
your local office for more information.
