National Wildlife Federation's Schoolyard Habitats Program is offering 50 $250 "Wild Seed Fund" mini-grants to assist schools in the initial phases of a Schoolyard Habitats project. To be eligible, schools must be planning to create or restore wildlife habitat on their schoolgrounds, to use the site as a teaching tool, and to certify as an official Schoolyard Habitats site by March 15, 2002.
Applications are due on January 15, 2001; applicants will be notified by March 15, 2001.
