Oak leaves are all I have for leaves. I don't do anything to combat the
acidity. They do take a while for me to break down, but I haven't had any
troubles with any plants in my garden or by my flowers either.
I have 2 compost heaps. The one heap is the one that is large and I quit
adding too, then the other is the one I keep adding to. I have a middle heap
of leaves, that I use all winter and add those with my greens to the pile.
