I liked the size and flavor of the Minnesota Midget melon. Sizewise, they
were right on the edge of what would work on a nylon trellis. At first, I
tried supporting them additionally with nylon stockings, but didn't like
the way they tied up. Plus, didn't seem to be necessary.
You gotta keep an eye on the melons. I had too many ripening at once. Too
ripe and they split--that is, crack. Ants love to come running. They also
slip, as in separate from the stem. Takes management and supervision.
