Square Foot Gardening List - http://www.flinet.com/~gallus/sqft.html
Bill & Nickie sounds like you both have great gardens. :)
I live in zone 10, Scottsdale, AZ.
Last month, I planted Zinnas, Chamomile, Lavender, Zulu & Shasta
daisies, giant marigold, giant asters, Balloon flowers, Caledula and 30
different herbs. This is my first time trying to grow flowers. I also
planted an assoetment of lettuce & spinach. This year I'm planting
soybeans and peanuts for the first time.
The sweet peas are already producing and the 4 varieties of corn are up,
as well as the carrots. I planted quiona and red okra and I'm trying
different varietties of plants that are native to Australia. They're
suposed to be drought hardy.
I planted 3 different varieties of honeydew and 2 watermelons, plus baby
pumkins.
I planted Souix tomatoes and beefsteak tomatoes and will be trying out
the spoon tomatoes I heard so much about on this forum last year.
Today, my peppers are going in, as well lambs quarters and other plants
sensitive to the heat.
My garden is 560sgft, consisting of 12 individual beds and several large
pots for those herbs that like taking over. My husband and I will be
adding 2 new beds 4x10ft long. Half of the garden has been screened to
keep the growing season longer in the summer.
I'm hoping for a great growing season.
