Cantaloupes and melons

Hi all,

Last year I tried to grow a bush type cantaloupe. They only produced 2 or 3
melons and they only got to be the size of baseballs or smaller. Was this
due to a lack of water or not enough fertilizer? Any help would be
appreciated as I would love to try them again this year. I also picked up
some seeds for "moon and stars" watermelons, has anyone tried growing these?
