Square Foot Gardening List - http://www.flinet.com/~gallus/sqft.html
Hi Cheri,
I have mine planted at four to one foot. I read about the nine to one
foot in a catalogue, it may have been Pinetree Seeds. My only guess for
their spacing is to keep the plants self supporting and to keep out
weeds underneath. Time will only tell.
Also their varieties didn't describe the seeds I picked up. I found mine
in a Deli in Little Italy in Manhattan. Mine are huge seeds, the size of
a quarter at least, they're orangey-brown in color with a deep
maroonish-brown stripe along the side. If anyone might know which
variety these might be I would love to know.
TIA,
Trudi Davidoff
