Square Foot Gardening List - http://myweb.flinet.com/~gallus/sqft.html
Hello. We are Steve and Lisa and
we are trying to grow our first garden this year. We have been lurking
around since about last fall and have gotten many good ideas of how to go about
it from you folks. Last spring we planted a couple of small flower beds
near the stairs in front of the house, and they turned out to be very nice for a
first try. So this year we are planting a small garden in the back yard to
see what happens. We have an area about 12X15 and I am going to mark off
four 4X4 squares. I am not going to do raised beds or anything this year,
as I am not completely sure that anything will grow. The area used to be a
sand box. I have moved most of the sand off to one of the 4X4 sections to
plant carrots and onions in. I am going to rototill the rest up and
start marking things off later this week. I also wanted to say that I
planted 18 pepper and tomato plants last weekend and the tomatoes have started
to sprout already! Now comes the hard part right?
We just wanted to introduce ourselves
and tell you all about our new little plants and say thanks for all the great
advice you have given us with out our even asking!
