Steve and Lisa- Welcome! I am excited for you.... you have your 'maters and peppers in. What varieties?

I have started the seeds for tomatoes:
    Sungold (ind., cherry)
Miracle Sweet (ind., 6 oz. of salad heaven)
Brandywine (ind., large wine-flavoured Amish heirloom)
Whopper (ind., 2 lb. beef-steak- slices cover a burger!)

for peppers:
    Gypsy (sweet bells)
Garden Salsa (mid-heat hot pepper good for salsa)
Tequila (oops! lol... interesting purple sweet bells)
Blushing Beauty (large sweet bells, ivory to red coloring)

Have you got the list of sqfting sites from the list? We can forward to the list again if you would like it.

Sincerely,
bill missen.

Hello.  We are Steve and Lisa and we are trying to grow our first garden this year.  We have been lurking around since about last fall and have gotten many good ideas of how to go about it from you folks.  Last spring we planted a couple of small flower beds near the stairs in front of the house, and they turned out to be very nice for a first try.  So this year we are planting a small garden in the back yard to see what happens.  We have an area about 12X15 and I am going to mark off four 4X4 squares.  I am not going to do raised beds or anything this year, as I am not completely sure that anything will grow.  The area used to be a sand box.  I have moved most of the sand off to one of the 4X4 sections to plant carrots and onions  in.  I am going to rototill the rest up and start marking things off later this week.  I also wanted to say that I planted 18 pepper and tomato plants last weekend and the tomatoes have started to sprout already!  Now comes the hard part right?

We just wanted to introduce ourselves and tell you all about our new little plants and say thanks for all the great advice you have given us with out our even asking!
