I have a squirrel/bird problem here but it was quickly solved with some
plastic chicken wire. I cut it long enough to go over my squares and
secured it with stakes. There was just enough room between the ground and
chicken wire for the plants to grow but still keep them safe from Mr. & Mrs.
Squirrel, which reside in the tree next to the garden. It worked out very
well for us!
