It is the right time to plant seeds in my neck of the woods and this will be
the first time I've ever planted vegetables, luckily I found the square foot
method.
Question: My local nursery guy has quite a few starts like brocolli,
numerous lettuce, swiss chard, etc and I was wondering if I should get those
instead of planting my seeds. He said go ahead and plant my seeds and don't
get the starts....what would you do?
Question: I am getting a good garden loam mix and then am going to add the
coffee-can full of organic fertilizer like Mel suggests......he also says
something in his book about adding a weak manure tea or fish emulsion every
couple weeks to have really good results. Anyone done this?
