I hear you loud and clear Susie!
We out here in Northern Ca are in the midst of Thunder and lighting and
rainstorms like we haven't seen since January! 40MPH winds have  blown
everyone's patio umbrellas  over and  we had to dig out the mittens and
heavy coats again.Looks like it will be rainy and stormy til Tuesday. Been
cold all month-

Funny- I get this thing from the National Centers for Climatic something or
other- send you a monthly email  weather prediction for your zip code and
they sent one at the beginning of April  saying something like-"unseasonably
cold - windy and rainy weather for your  area including hailstorms and
windstorms and frost- YOU HAVE BEEN DULY WARNED!!" -I remember thinking
"huh-Well that's a bit dramatic-next they will be talking about plagues and
locusts".  Still....... I was a bit more cautious than usual in planting.We
had  many temps in the 70's and 80's in March and so it has been really
weird to have such stormy cold weather in April.

The only things I have in my beds right now are strawberries and peas and
boy am I glad.Got lots of stuff-flowers and veggies- sitting here on my
sheltered porch and  in my unheated back bathroom  that I take out on good
days and whisk back in on lousy ones- I have become a slave to these
fellers!(when you haven't gotten around to remodeling a gutted  northern
facing bath with fairly good light- I say ----stick some plants in it!) Well
