Thanks for responding, Gail!
We're hoping to put up some sort of greenhouse this year (been searching
for one online for four months). The idea came as a way to become more
self-sufficient from the grocery store and grow higher quality cool-season
veggies during the long months of Ohio's winter. It wouldn't be a heated
greenhouse...just an earthen floor and pebble walkway.
I'm like the eternal "brown thumber" waiting for it to turn green someday.
Am now worried that some seeds started under lights are dying before they
even can get outside to harden up a bit. This happened before and dampened
my enthusiasm for starting from seed. This year, however, the gardening bug
has got me bad! I hope they survive until the weather warms up. Was putting
a weak solution of Maxicrop on them about every two weeks. Haven't put any
more on...not knowing why they are losing color.
If anyone on the list can offer some advice on this problem, I would sure
appreciate it!
Jo
