Square Foot Gardening List - http://myweb.flinet.com/~gallus/sqft.html
I am growing early girl because I want a tomatoe that will be an early
harvest. Thats the only reason why I chose early girl. I grew it last year
and harvested alot of tomatoes. But, I planted everything very late, so I
cannot say how early I would have started picking tomatoes.
Why would you consider Brandywine splitting losing the tomatoe. Wouldn't the
taste be the same despite the splitting? I went to Behnkes (local nursury)
tomatoe taste-off last year and really enjoyed Cherokee purple. I can't
remember what Sioux tasted like, but I read its good in Tomatoe Growers
catalog.
I can't wait to see my square foot garden trellis covered with vines. I'm
outta squares now. (I have 2 4x4 blocks).
Out of the 8 squares along the trellis are: Brandywine,Cherekee Purple,Early
girl,Sungold, Sioux, Kentucky Wonder Pole Bean(1square), snap peas(1 square),
and 1 Amira cucumber plant and 1 Lemon Cucumber in 1 square.
The other squares are filled with varities of lettuce (Little Gem, Black
Seeded Simpson, Forellenschlus, Buttercrunch, Bibb, and Oakleaf)
2 squares have Touchon carrots. 1 square of Bright Lights Swiss Chard. 2
squares of wrinkly spinach. 1 square of D'avignon french breakfast radish, 1
square of purpletop turnips. 1 square of Chives. 2 of Marigolds and 2 of
Nasturtium. 1 square of Big Bertha pepper, 1 of Fat n Sassy pepper, 1 of
Garden Salsa pepper.
JUST THOUGHT I'D SHARE THAT WITH YOU ALL!!!!!!!!
