Hi Laura,
Don't remember exactly how many plants I bought, I think I got two different
bunches from Park seed. Planted them every 6 inches. They fill the block,
run over the sides and produce a nice crop in June and we get to pick a few
in August and September. I do get considerable die back in the winter. I
haven't figured this one out yet. I mulched heavily with straw one year and
it killed a large number of plants. I think I smothered them rather than
protected them. Last year I lightly mulched with straw and have more plants
survive the winter. Doesn't seem to matter, they grow and grow and fill the
block. Can't wait for the strawberries!!!
