Re: Compost heaps?


I don't know how popular it is but it has worked for me for years. It
requires more space and does not look as neat as bins. I don't even try
to make "QUICK" compost. I just layer browns and greens on the heap and
keep it damp all summer. It heats up and the bacteria do there thing and
then during our rainy winter season the earth worms take over. Come the
following spring, I have lots of nice compost.
