I related my experiences with shaking down corn tassles several months ago.
I think it works fine, but I had a terrible allergic reaction to this process.
My eyes swelled almost completely shut. I've basically never been allergic
to anything....so this caught me totally off-guard; had to get a prescription
for some steroid eye drops.  I would advise anyone doing this who thinks they
might be so prone to wear a pair of good fitting safety goggles.
