Re: Grants


Hi.  I'm a board member of that organization.  We're called Gateway Greening, Inc.  We're a community gardening organization.  The garden you visited was Bell Gardens, the centerpiece of our program.  We'd be very happy to receive a grant application.  Thanks for your interest!  

(By the way, the weekend of April 24 and 25, we're sponsoring a program called "The Great Perennial Divide."  We have enlisted the aid and assistance of local garden clubs and gardeners to divide their perennials and supply them to us for distribution to our community gardeners (both vegetable and ornamental).  So far, it's been a great success!!!

There's a community garden in St. Louis using the square foot methods.
I went to see it once - it's in a bad part of town, but nicely done for
that. I'll see if I can dig up some contact info about the people who
run it -- they may be interested in a grant.
