Seed Savers Exchange is a wonderful organization if you are interested
in planting open-pollinated seeds and are willing to save seed to
share with others. Many heirlooms are available from their Jan.
Yearbook for only $1. These varieties cannot be found elsewhere, and
some are pretty exotic. This year I ordered a red-leaf dwarf banana,
Purple Smudge-Orange Flesh tomatoes and many, many others. The two
mentioned were the most unusual. It's well worth the $25 annual fee
if you are a serious gardener. There are three quarterly publications
that a chocked full of interesting tidbits gleaned from very experienced
gardeners. I recommend joining SSE!
