Pardon me if I'm asking a question that has already been asked.
I am recently the new "mother" of two puppies, soon to be big dogs who reside in a part of my backyard. Since I don't want to keep them penned up all the time, I am looking for some good "deterents" to place at the perimeters of my garden beds. I prefer to not have to use electrical voltage at any amp (although that has been suggested by people I consider to be loving pet owners). At on point last summer, there was a discussion on this list re: this.
Is there some form of herb plant that might keep them at bay? Most of my beds currently have flagstone borders.
I live in Zone 8 (Dallas) where, if it isn't in the shade during the summer, it may die if not hearty enough. Most of the gardened space is in mostly sunny areas.
Thanks
Camille Krug
