Square Foot Gardening List - http://www.flinet.com/~gallus/sqft.html

Hi:

I'm new to the list; I've been lurking for a week or two, but thought I'd
better introduce myself. I live in the Washington, DC suburbs, having moved
here a year ago from Seattle. I tried a very small garden last year but
wasn't successful due to a drought here and my lack of initiative. I
happened upon Square Foot Gardening doing an internet search and ordered the
book. It sounds wonderful and I am eager to try. I have seedlings growing
now: tomatoes, peppers and some annuals. Hoping to start more later this
week. I love to cook and can and am hoping to can tomatoes and pickles this
summer, all from our own garden. Today we got another truckful of garden
soil and spread it in the garden; I'm ready to lay down my planks and plan to
transplant seedlings by the end of the month. I've got some compost brewing
too.

I appreciate all the support and help I've already picked up on this list and
I hope to learn enough this year to be able to pass on some advice next
spring.

Thanks for all your help and ideas.
