I've never pre-sprouted my peas, but I can see that would hasten things.
My peas are finally up, but it took a good two weeks. I guess I better put
up that trellis soon (not today, though, since it's raining. sigh)

I'm just outside Baltimore, so I wonder if the squash vine borer quits here
at about the same time? I might try a row cover until then --but I think
I'll still start an extra plant or two later, just in case!
