Square Foot Gardening List - http://myweb.flinet.com/~gallus/sqft.html
Teri,
Where are you? I assume that since you
refer to it as Paradise that you are living in the vicinity of citrus fruit
trees. If so I would suggest moving your compost pile and possibly limiting the
kitchen refuse you use. Use grass clippings and garden refuse for the
green matter. One suggestion is Borax (20 Mule Team) for getting rid of
cockroaches. I know that this works in the house but I'm not sure about
outside.(might make mighty bubbles when it rains!!) One thing that a
compost pile needs is the sun for heat. And the roaches shouldn't like the
light or the extreme heat. If you can move it, it might be worth the
trouble.
Hope this helps,
Cathy
