Bill- I don't know- are coackraoches any different than other beetles? I have considered moving the pile into a sunnier spot- perhaps to heat it up better. It is just that roaches are so prolific and like to wander- -I have had them invade  places that I lived before and the idea that they may sneak in with the veggies or that I might be spreading them in my lovely compost makes me get the shivers! Anyone out there had a similar experience?-Teri

Teri-  I have no idea whether you should do anything at all. I have lots of bugs in my compost too.. but they do not hurt anything. I leave them alone. Must you do anything?
