Tomato questions

I've been trimming the non producing branches of my tomato plants a lot
lately as it's getting a little crowded in there. Also during a storm the
other night a couple of them bent over & I ended up cutting off a couple
large branches that were damaged.  So I guess I'm wondering how much is too
much before the plant is damaged.
