Re: Onions, garlic, shallots


Judy,
About leaving the garlic in the ground: You can leave them in the ground
for a time, but come fall when it is time to plant garlic if you leave
them in the ground every clove will sprout and come up. I do not think
this is what you want.
I would harvest the entire crop and let it dry. Seperate the cloves when
you either wish to plant next years crop or cook with it. You can also
clean up the cloves and freeze them and use when needed.
