NO! THEY ARE NOT EDIBLE! Potatoes are members of the highly poisonous nightshade
family and anything but the tubers should NOT be eaten.

So am I - I thought potatoes setting seed was rather rare - but every source I have
read says that seedling potatoes vary greatly from their parents. You may get
something better, you'll probably get things that are worse, but you may not get
very many plants that resemble the parent.
