A Potato Question

I planted Yukon Gold potatoes as recommended here. Some of them are
dying back so I decided to dig them up. They look wonderful.
Question 1 (please answer to me off list as it's somewhat off topic)
How do I cook them for maximum enjoyment - boiled or baked?
Question 2
On some of the still alive plants there are "berries" - look like small
greenish yellow tomatoes (they're in the same family, no?) about 3/4
inch in diameter. Are they edible? Should I save them/the seeds and
plant them next year? I'm really curious!
Thanks in advance, Karen Vradelis, zone 5-ish, NW Ohio
