Try looking up Lisianthus or Eustoma. The Sunset western garden book says:
biennial or short lived perennial, all zones. A few years ago, I bought a
few deep purple ones which were marketed here as annuals. As I recall they
were short lived in terms of bloom and required more watering than I like.
I have also seen them in floral arrangements. Pretty - everyone who visited
asked what they were- but not worth the trouble for me to grow. Good luck.
