Richard, I think that there has already been the suggestion that you might
want to shade them during the hottest part of the afternoon, but I have
never seen such wilting in Northern NY. If we were talking of greenhouse
plants I would suggest that you might be over watering them and destroying
the root hairs. Does anyone know if the is a possibility in the garden? I
certainly do not know. But I do know that I watered my peppers very little
during the driest part of June and July and had no wilting. Good luck.
