I live in zone 6 and have never grown strawberries. Around here everyone
seems to plant them in the spring and they do very well. Any advice for
me regarding planting the everbearing variety this fall? If so, when do
I plant and do I protect them in the winter? I read in the sq ft
archives about planting in cinder block holes and I am prepared to do
that. I read an article about fall planting and it said that I would
have a spring crop. I read that Ozark Beauty is good for this area
(Tennessee). Would anyone care to share their experience on this
subject?
