Square Foot Gardening List - http://www.flinet.com/~gallus/sqft.html
Hi all, thought I'd send a
message to tell you about our local school's endeavor into Sqft.
Gardening. Last year I completed training as a volunteer Master
Gardener. This year I have worked with the youth in the community to
create a garden program in the schools. This spring we built two 4' x 12'
beds and planted vegetables and flowers using the Sqft. method. We even
had a plot in the demonstration garden at the fair. The
"Kinder-Garden" was a big hit! Someday I hope to get a website
together to highlight the project. We have harvested, lettuce, peas,
beans, radishes, beets and we hope to harvest soon, tomatoes, corn, onions,
sunflowers and pumpkins. It's a lot of fun working with the kids and they
like it too. I'm looking forward to the school year and starting from
"scratch" again! Take care all and enjoy your
harvests!!
