DENVER (AP) -- State and federal agriculture officials are 
scrambling to recover a noxious weed banned by the government 
that may have found its way to 35 states.

SYNOPSIS:
The bur reed (Sparganium erectum) was inadvertently 
allowed into the country from Holland and sold by 
Home Depot.  Agricultural Inspectors are attempting 
to recover all plants sold to gardeners.
