Square Foot Gardening List - http://www.flinet.com/~gallus/sqft.html
all right, silly newbie question. Don't anyone laugh.
This is my first year with a garden. I bought bean seedlings at Home Depot
and planted them. The little picture on the planting stake shows nice big
bushy bean plants with green bean pods. My plants aren't getting very big
but they have lots of bean pods. PURPLE ones.
I picked one and nibbled on it. Tastes fine. But they're PURPLE.
Will they turn green? Are there purple beans in the world? Pick them or
wait? The leaves are sort of dark green with a purplish hue, so I'm thinking
maybe they're supposed to be purple.
Next garden, I go to a real nursery for seeds and plants. All I know is this
little plastic tag has a picture of bushes and green bean pods and it says
"Beans, bush."
Stop laughing.
Cyn
