Hello all-
I wanted to let you know about Mel's visit to West Palm Beach. It was
super. What a great person. Very interesting. A very good speaker. We got to
talk alot about the past of SqFt and the Future, trying to get a sq ft
garden in every school. The seminar had about 25 people, we thought good
considering the season. They were very interested. We had a 3x3
demonstration set up and showed the basics. I was worried about how many
would attend but Mel said "Dont worry, those who do come will have fun" and
we did.
We spent about 2 1/2 hours at the computer visiting the SqFt site, he was
very interested in what is going on with the list. We went back through some
emails of what people said of their gardens. He wants to send all of you
"best wishes for the Holidays"
Mary in Tujunga, CA asked about what wood to use, he said he stayed away
from pressure treated wood even if they say it will not bleed.
About having a chat, I thought about that but was unsure of any time we
would have so I didnt post a time and then not get to the SqFt Chat. We
stopped by but of course no one was there. As far as ICQ the same thing, no
one from the list was on at the same time we were. My id is 2418139.
Well that is my update. I shall post pictures when I get them back and also
pictures with Mels words on his trip to Bermuda and Calif.
