I have just discovered _THE_ book and this list. I am an organic
gardener in the UK using 4' raised beds. I already use close spacing
for some crops to reduce weeds and increase yields. When I saw what
Mel said was possible from a 4' square my jaw dropped! I have read the
bit on fertiliser and agree totally with what he says about adding
humus. BUT, I will not use blood or bone meal (for obvious reasons -
living in the UK!) So, does anybody have experience of getting high
yields from totally Organic methods? I make liquid comfrey feed from
pressed leaves, anybody else do that?
Colin Shaw.
