>I haven't had a chance to read through it, but yesterday, the USDA sent a
large packet of information about the new National Organic Standards. Did
anyone else get this? Have you been following the results?
I work for USDA's Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service--not the agency
that promulgates the Natl. Org. Stds., though. Just want you to know that
departmental employees have NOT been sent this information. I'm delighted
to hear that anybody has, in fact.
Can you please look, Martha, at the package and give us the name of the
agency within USDA that sent the info package to you. (USDA itself is
minute; almost all the employees are in the 30 sep. agencies.) I will
follow up here in Washington with that agency's PR people and find out how
others can get a copy of the packet.
There's a slight chance it can be found on the Web, too.
