During the dank and dreary darkness of winter, creatures of all types emerge.
The most frightening one of all is the lurker. Beware the lurker asking
questions.
After having the only garden I have EVER had this past year, inspired in great
part to members here, I have a question. I have a small plot that I would like
to SQFT garden. (Mine last year was plugged in between flowers in the front
beds.) It measures 3 feet across by about 12 feet long. It backs onto a
east-west running fence and the garden faces south. It receives almost no sun
during winter months because of the shadow of the house, but summer sun hits it
pretty well. I am in zone 5 in just south of Salt Lake City, Utah.
What would the gurus of gardens, the misers of mulch, the kings of compost put
into such a garden? How would you go about it? (In spite of the eighteen
inches of snow on top of everything and more expected for Christmas)
