One thing that is easy and cheap to use as a structure to cover with netting
or row covers is a hanging file frame. (those metal thingies the files hang
off of).
I've used netting over mine to keep birds away (no rabbit problem yet
...knock wood!). I bought some at Staples (two to a box I think) and they
were very inexpensive. I even laid one on its side with netting and let the
peas climb it.
