Square Foot Gardening List - http://www.flinet.com/~gallus/sqft.html
Hello from snowey Indiana;
i am also planing to sq.ft. garden this year. I'm starting with twenty 4X8
beds 12"deep. I went to a landscapeing business and ordered a soil mix of one
third compost,one third top soil and one third sand. This should give me a
good start. I tested the soil mix and found I needed about three lbs. of lime
per bed to get to a 6.5 ph.I intend to use soaker hoses to water. We have
city water that is treated with clorine and I can't figure a way around
useing it.
It will be around April before I can plant here so I'm in the process of
ordering seed and daydreaming of nicer weather.
Good luck and keep in touch, I'm interested to know how other first timers do
so I can gauge my own sucess
Happy New Year
