Sorry,  Got so excited...
I forgot to explain we gardened there when I was a kid.  Sheridan actually. 
Don't recall in Little Big Horn.  (Ahh... the snapping turtle hinting at
Tongue River dam and 60-100 lb mushrooms...)

A fair part was 4" wide rows, even tho the garden size was subtantial.  Sort
of a SqFt throwback.  I only recall what I like and a bit more.
Raspberries, an exception perhaps, 2' wide row.
Strawberries, 2 rows expanded to 45" at the seasons end, to
(you guessed it, one row, 4' wide at season's end.)
Beans also 2" rows, bush type.

If it was tall at all, reaching into 2 foot deep section it's hard to step and
see, so something was planted near, in their shade.
Rhubarb had it's 3x3 section with whatever around it at the end of a row.
probably veggies, nothing memorable, like strawberries, or parsnips or
turnips, if you catch me drift.  I was 3-6 then.  But radishes, all the short
stuff, wide efficint rows.  Grandma married a doctor, no dummy she.

Now we did borrow the football field to growe dandylions for wine.  Did our
own pickles, to include watermelon pickles.  Well, makes me homesick, tho
Nevada comes closer to that, or Oklahoma, Kansas, not really Nebraska... blah,
blah... Thx Fran, for your neat name!
