My neighbor bought a really neat tool for pulling up Dandelions last year. I 
can't remember the name of it, but it had the word "dog" in it somewhere. It 
was a pole that had about 5 nails on the end, point down, which you centered 
over the dandelion. You then stepped on a pedal which pushed the nails down 
into the ground. The ends of the nails came together and when you pull up, 
you get the whole plant out of the ground. 

Makes it very easy to harvest the little buggers. I believe he bought it at 
Home Depot.
